Peter Hasson, a self-taught artist currently living on Puget Sound near
Seattle, Washington, was born in 1947 and has been painting most of his
life. Sometimes seen as controversial, his gouache and ink paintings humorously
depict the absurdities of relationships, religion and politics in western
